Ink Masters - Tattoo Show

ABCD's of Medicare

If it’s time for you to sign-up for Medicare, and you don’t know where to begin, be sure to register and attend a free Medicare Class at your Abilene Public Library. Multiple sessions will be hosted each month and led by specialists Jennifer Walter & Breanna Maichel. Each session will run up to 1-hour long and designed with the goal of providing seniors with the tools needed to be able to make the right decisions going into Medicare. From understanding the parts of Medicare to prescription drug plans, learning how to enroll to reviewing health plans, you’ll be sure to get all the answers you need. Dungeons & Dragons for Adults

Are you looking for a group to play Dungeons & Dragons with, but you’re too old to be a part of our popular teen sessions? Well come to your Mockingbird Branch Library and join us for a couple Saturdays of fun. Our study room will be booked from 1PM to 5PM for anyone wanting to come and play this role playing game. The library will provide three main manuals, dice, and character sheets, and dungeon master. If you’re ready for an adventure, join us!

Mockingbird Movies: "Addams Family Values"

Join your library for a great afternoon movie featuring a live-action flick featuring one of America’s beloved creepy & kooky families. We’ll be showing 1993’s “Addams Family Values” starring Anjelica Huston, Raul Julia, Christopher Lloyd, and Christina Ricci. In this film, when an adorable baby boy is added to the Addams household, Wednesday and Pugsley do not hate him, they just aren’t necessarily excited about his existence. So they plot to get rid of him one way or another. This film is rated PG-13 for macabre humor and has a run time of 1 hour and 34 minutes. Feel free to bring your own snacks and drinks to enjoy during the movie.

South STEAM: Autumn Leaves

Everyone’s invited to come and explore the world around you through Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math with your South Branch Library. At this session we’re doing something a little different than we’ve done in the past. We’ll supply all the materials needed for you to come in and make your own leaves for autumn, but to do so we’ll be creating this leaf art using absorption. Instruction will be provided so make sure you come on down and challenge yourself to make some STEAM art with us in this fun educational activity.
