  1. Super Storytime: Bugging Out

    Kids and parents are invited to join your library for an enhanced morning storytime program complete with stories, songs, crafts, and more, fun. For this session, the theme of the event is called Bugging Out where we’ll be sharing stories and activities all about different bugs. We’ll provide all the materials you’ll need for our morning craft too so don’t pass up on joining us for the literary fun!

  2. ABCD's of Medicare

    If it’s time for you to sign-up for Medicare, and you don’t know where to begin, be sure to register and attend a free Medicare Class at your Abilene Public Library. Multiple sessions will be hosted each month and led by specialist Jennifer Walter. Each session will run up to 1-hour long and designed with the goal of providing seniors with the tools needed to be able to make the right decisions going into Medicare. From understanding the parts of Medicare to prescription drug plans, learning how to enroll to reviewing health plans, you’ll be sure to get all the answers you need.   3. Take & Make: Tails & Tales Posters

    Youth are invited out for a quick Take & Make activity where we’ll supply blank posters that youth are able to drop in and pick up while you’re at the library looking for books to checkout. These posters feature animals reading and they’ll be perfect for coloring at home with your markers, crayons, or colored pencils, then to hang in your room for the summary. Available while supplies last.

    Teens are invited to meetup at your Main Library’s Teen Zone and join us for an early evening of video gaming fun! We’ll put together a fun selection of Wii and PS4 games and then have you challenge others in friendly battles like Mario Kart and Mario Party. You’ll decide what we do, so come out ready to have some gaming fun at your library.
