    July 21, 2021, 1:30 PM - 4:30 PM @ 2nd Floor, Auditorium

Join your Main Library for a summer of Harry Potter fun during the Summer Reading Club. Each week we’ll be watching an installment of the series, making a craft to go along with the featured film, and having fun with this popular movie franchise. At this session we’ll be watching 2010’s “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1.” In this installment, as Harry, Ron, and Hermione race against time and evil to destroy the Horcruxes, they uncover the existence of the three most powerful objects in the wizarding world: the Deathly Hallows. This film is rated PG-13 for some sequences of intense action, violence, frightening images, and brief sensuality, and has a run time of 2 hours and 26 minutes. Feel free to bring in your own snacks and drinks, and be sure to come out and have some Harry Potter fun with us every week!

    July 21, 2021, 3:00 PM - 4:00 PM @ Meeting Room

Join us for the final visit from Joy Harsh (aka the Zoo Lady) who is the Education Curator at the Abilene Zoo and visits the library each summer to teach youth about different kinds of animals from the Abilene Zoo. If you love animals, you’ll certainly want to attend. We don’t know what she’ll be bringing, but she will bring a different set of animals to each of the branches. Learn about them at your library and then get the chance to meet them up close and personal at the end of each session. Don’t miss out on the animal fun!
